Go to Surveys ↗ · Opens the webapp — please log in first While a survey is active, you can change its end date at any time: a later date extends the survey, an earlier one closes it sooner. You do not have to edit the survey itself, and the responses collected so far are kept.

Open the end date

  1. Find the active survey in Surveys.
  2. Click the arrow next to Edit.
  3. Choose Change Expiration Date if the survey already has an end date. If it has none yet, the entry is called Go to deactivation.
Both entries open the Deactivate Survey window.

Set a new end date

  1. Select Set end date.
  2. Under End Date, pick the day on which the survey should close.
  3. For a survey that does not repeat, also set the time next to it.
  4. Click Save.
The window always opens with Deactivate now selected, even when you only want to change the end date. If you save like that, the survey closes immediately. Switch to Set end date first.

What to keep in mind

  • The earliest possible end date is tomorrow.
  • The survey closes at exactly the time you choose, in the survey’s time zone. The time is preset to the next full hour, so check it after picking a different day.
  • For a recurring survey, you can only pick days on which a survey cycle ends. The time then follows the schedule.
The length of a single cycle is part of a recurring survey’s schedule. The schedule cannot be changed for active surveys. To change the schedule, you must first deactivate the survey.

End a survey right away

If you select Deactivate now and click Save, the survey closes immediately. If the result notification is switched on for this survey, it is not sent in that case. If you want employees to learn that the results are available, set an end date instead. See How can I inform employees that a survey has ended and its data can be viewed? Once a survey has ended, you can no longer extend it through its end date. To open it again, see How can I reopen a survey?
