Who Can See Initiatives and How Private Visibility Works

This article explains who can see initiatives and how the visibility of private initiatives is handled.

Who can see initiatives

  • Administrators: Admins can see all initiatives and can open any initiative.
  • Non-admin users: Visibility depends on whether an initiative is private.
    • For private initiatives (marked with a lock icon): only the initiative creator and the designated responsible person can open and read the initiative.
    • All other users will see a message stating "This initiative is private" and will only see the name of the responsible person.

How to control initiative visibility

  • Mark an initiative as private when creating it to restrict access to the creator and the responsible person.
  • If an initiative is not marked private, admins can open it and visibility to other users is not described here.

Recommended best practice

  • When confidentiality is desired, select the private option (lock) during initiative creation so that only the creator and the responsible person can access the initiative content.

Conclusion Admins have full visibility of initiatives. For private initiatives, only the creator and the responsible person can open and read the content; other users will see a notice that the initiative is private and will see only the responsible person's name.
