When your account holds a lot of surveys, you can tidy up the list by archiving the ones you are no longer using. Archiving does not delete anything: the survey and all its responses are kept, and you can still evaluate an archived survey at any time. Restore it whenever you want to use it again.
Archive a survey you no longer need — do not delete it. Deleting a survey removes it together with all the data collected through it, and that cannot be undone.
The survey list
The Surveys section shows a single list of all your surveys. There are no longer separate In Use and Archive tabs. Instead, at the top you have a search field and a filter bar with Status, Hierarchy, Frequency, Created and your survey properties.
Each survey carries a status: Active, Scheduled, Inactive or Archived. The status decides which actions are available on it.
Finding archived surveys
By default the list shows Active, Scheduled and Inactive surveys — archived surveys are hidden. This is why an archived survey can seem to have disappeared.
To see them, open the Status filter and tick Archived. The archived surveys then appear in the list alongside the others. Your filter choice is remembered on your device, so the list opens the same way next time.
Archiving a survey
A survey can only be archived once it is Inactive. An Active or Scheduled survey has to be deactivated first — see How do I (de)activate a survey?.
Once the survey is Inactive:
- Find the survey in the list.
- At the right-hand end of its row, next to Edit, click the small arrow (▾) to open the menu.
- Choose Archive.
- Confirm the action in the dialog that appears.
The survey moves out of the default list and into the Archived status. Nothing is deleted and no data is lost.
Restoring a survey
To bring an archived survey back:
- Add Archived to the Status filter so the survey is shown.
- At the right-hand end of its row, next to Edit, open the menu with the arrow (▾).
- Choose Restore.
The survey returns to the active list and can be reactivated like any other.
Archiving several surveys at once
If you want to clear out more than one survey, you do not have to repeat this for each. In the survey list you can select several surveys and archive them in one step, with a preview of exactly which ones will change. See How do I activate, deactivate or archive several surveys at once?.
